awarded Fred Weber a $4.44 million contract Wednesday to removee and replace the Madison Streetand St. Louis Avenuwe bridges over Interstate 70 indowntownn St. Louis. The majority of work on this projectr will start afterHighway 40/Interstate 64 reopens between Kingshighway and Interstatr 170. Crews will remove the St. Louis Avenuse bridge first and then remove and replace the MadisonStreetg bridge. During work to remove the MadisonStreet bridge, crewa will also remove the Cass Avenue bridgd in preparation for replacing that bridge latet in 2010. This work is part of preliminar work on a new Mississippi river which is expected to reduce congestion on the PopladStreet Bridge.
Maryland Heights, Mo.-based Fred Weber is one of the largesyt privately held companiesin St. Louis with $353.3 million in revenud in 2008. Construction of the school on Concordia’s Mequon campus is expecteds to beginin 2010. “Wr are grateful to the West Foundation for thei rgenerous gift,” said Curt Gielow, executive dean of Concordia’a School of Pharmacy. “This gives us momentum as we forgs ahead to prepare the next generatiohof pharmacists.” The West Foundationm was established in 1957 by Ruth St. John and John Dunhakm West, the latter of whom served as presidenf of the Manitowoc ShipBuilding Co. Wisconsin Ave., and are focused mainlyu on negotiating new payment arrangements with homeowners delinquenty ontheir payments, said spokeswoman Christine Chase is one of the nation’ds largest mortgage servicers with a portfoli of $1.5 trillion. The bank added billions in mortgagw business with the September 2008 acquisition ofWashingtonm Mutual. The new hires include loan specialists, underwriters and supervisors, Holevas said. Many already have started Chase hasabout 1,400 employees in greater Milwaukee, and nearlg 950 in Milwaukee, Holevas said. Chase, whichg is part of , New York runs 41 branches in themetropolitan area.
